MapTiler Planet tileset is updated roughly every 4-6 weeks. The timestamp of each update is recorded in the metadata list. You can find this metadata list in MapTiler Cloud on every tilesets sub-page.
We run quality and compliance checks on every updated version. The major part of the data comes from OpenStreetMap, which unfortunately suffers from occasional “vandalism”, especially near disputed border territories. Quality and compliance checks are done in collaboration with our partners. These checks take 5-6 weeks to finish, depending on the number of total edits and the number of suspicious edits which need to be checked repeatedly or manually. Then we need another week or two to process all input data into vector tiles.
The attribute "Data from" is the timestamp of the OSM data freeze. Click the following link to quickly view the details of the tileset: MapTiler Planet Tiles. OSM data snapshot is taken every approximately every 4 weeks. MapTiler Data team is not in charge to decide when the OSM data snapshot will be taken.

I am GIS Specialist and it is my first time using this platform, kindly I would like to know the way I can edit (change the name) for instance in an open street map their display the former name like GISENYI, KIBUYE, KIBUNGO while we need to update e.g. Gisenyi changes to RUBAVU. Could you assist with this? by giving me guidance on the way I can edit it? thank you
Hello Obed, in case you would like to change data in the OSM (which serves as one of the underlying data sources for MapTiler), you can submit a change request directly to OSM.
Here is more info on how to do it:
Once the change request is submitted and approved, it is going to appear in the OSM, from where it will be taken by MapTiler and released in the next MapTiler Planet.
