In order to be eligible to remove the © OpenStreetMap attribution, you have to switch the map source from MapTiler Planet to MapTiler Planet Lite, which doesn't contain data protected by the OpenStreetMap license.
Change the map source to Planet Lite
In MapTiler Cloud, take the following steps to change the data source:
- Select a map you want to use, and click on the Customize a copy button
- In the Customize tool, click on the Data sources button (puzzle icon top left)
- Click the Plus icon and select the MapTiler Planet Lite from the list
- Click the item and then click the Add data source button below the list
- To remove the MapTiler Planet data source, right-click it, and select Remove
- Congratulations! You have successfully replaced data sources for your map.
Click on the Save button, name your map, click on the Create and save button, and finally click on the Publish button. Now you can start using your map without the © OpenStreetMap attribution in videos, print, on the web, or in games. The © MapTiler attribution must still be present!
