This article demonstrates how to publish geodata. After you draw or upload your data in the Vector data editor or using the MapTiler Mobile app, it is time to publish them.
Select a background map for presenting your data
In the MapTiler Cloud administration, select a map that fits best your data.
From the “⋮” menu, select Edit a copy.
Add your vector data into a map
You are now in the Edit style editor. Here you can make fundamental changes to your map. For adding your own data, click on Data sources -> select the data source you just created (in our case European capitals) and click on them. Now they can be used as a source for a map.
Now in the upper left corner click on the Add layer button -> select source of your layer (European capitals in our example), select data type and name it, and click on the Add Layer button. This will add your data into sources in the menu on the left side.
By drag and drop, you can change the layer's order (e.g. move it beyond the labels but above the road network) and modify other attributes (e.g. color of your data). When you are done with your adjustments, click on the Save button.
To make your map available for use, click on the Publish button.
Now your map is ready to be embedded in an iframe on your web or blog, used interactively with JavaScript, on mobile devices, desktop GIS, or printed.
