How to use MapTiler with ArcGIS Online

How to get a WMTS endpoint in MapTiler Cloud

In order to connect a tileset or a map via WMTS in ArcGIS, you have to create it first. Go to your MapTiler Cloud account at MapTiler Cloud - Tiles or MapTiler Cloud - Maps and select a tileset/map.

Scroll down and copy the URL for the Web map tile service. 

How to connect MapTiler WMTS to ArcGIS Online

Add MapTiler Tile Layer to ArcGIS Online

1. Log in to ArcGIS Online
2. Open the Map Viewer:
   • Click on Map from the top menu to open the Map Viewer.
3. Add a Layer from the Web:
   
   • Click on the Add button in the Map Viewer, then select Add Layer from Web from the dropdown menu.
4. Enter URL:
   • In the "Add Layer from Web" interface, Paste the MapTiler WMTS URL.
   • You need to fill in additional parameter with the API key.
   • Click on 'Add custom parameter.' In the 'Parameter' field, write 'key' and in the 'Value' field, enter your API key.
   • Click Next to add your MapTiler map to the ArcGIS Online
