MapTiler Engine offers different rendering types across available subscription plans. Higher plans allow you to render faster and process bigger amount of data.
Currently there are three rendering types available across different plans:
- Standard rendering (Free plan)
Standard rendering enables you to create a zoomable map from one file. With this rendering type, your data will be processed using 1 CPU core.
- Fast rendering (Plus plan)
Fast rendering is suitable for small datasets and you can expect up to 10x faster rendering comparing to the Standard rendering used within the Free plan. Your data will be processed with up to 4 CPU cores.
- UltraFast rendering (Pro, Enterprise plan)
UltraFast rendering is our most advanced rendering type, designed for large datasets (thousands of files and terabytes of data). It secures up to 2x faster rendering compared to the Fast rendering type, meaning that it will save you up to 50% of the processing time. UltraFast rendering can be accessed though both the MapTiler Engine GUI and the command line. Your data will be processed with up to 16 CPU cores, or more with the Enterprise plan.
If you haven’t done so yet, try the ultimate speed of UltraFast rendering by activating the MapTiler Engine Pro Trial license.
You can check your current rendering type in the license dialog:
You can also see your current rendering type above the timeline on the Rendering page.
Each MapTiler Engine subscription plan comes with a different rendering type as described above. Choose the UltraFast rendering, if you are looking for the best performance and minimum rendering time. Please keep in mind that your machine's hardware configuration, including the number of CPU cores, hard drive speed, etc., still impacts the overall performance.
