How to work with Customize tool and Advanced editor together in MapTiler Cloud

This article discusses how to work with Customize tool and Advanced editor together in order to create customized maps in MapTiler Cloud.

Customize a map 

In order to create a simple customized map, please go to MapTiler Maps Page. Then click on the button "Make your own map". This will open the Customize tool and let you do simple edits to your new custom map.

The Customize tool lets you do various edits to your map. If you want to progress to the Advanced editor, click the "Advanced editing" button in the top-right corner.

Save your map before going to the Advanced editor.

Click the "Advanced editing" button in the top-right corner again.

And confirm the following message:
"Using Advanced Editor converts this map into a different map format. Once converted, simplified Customize options will no longer be available for this map. How do you want to proceed?"

After the confirmation, you will enter the Advanced Editor and you will be able to do much more advanced customization to your maps.

The main conclusion of this article is that you are no longer able to do simple edits to your custom map, once you decide to go fully pro and enter the advanced editor.
